Individuality often seems to us to be the quickest path to success, but true strength lies in walking together toward a common future. In this article, we will explore how to find an enlightened path for your heart through community and faith.
"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" Jeremiah 29:11
There is an ancient wisdom that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This expression perfectly reflects God's call to fraternal communion among brothers and sisters, to compassion and mercy towards others.
Living in community, sharing and supporting one another, is a wonderful blessing that the Lord pours out on us every day. This call invites us to reach our goals together, enabling us to go further and in better conditions than we could have imagined.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
We are social beings. Since the dawn of humanity, we have built our history in society. This behavior can be understood as a natural order and, at the same time, as a great teaching: we need each other. However, sometimes it is difficult to live in community.
Whether in the workplace, in leisure activities, or even within the family context, we face conflicts that generate resentment and distrust, expanding irreconcilable feelings in our hearts. We must maintain a serene spirit and understand that it is precisely in our social frustrations where the Lord works in us. Why not think that God has placed us in the right place to carry out the transformation of our character? This change of perspective is fundamental to walk God's paths in peace and harmony.
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." Psalm 23:1-3
Humans have dissimilar personalities and often we must deal with other people and ourselves to find common ground and agreements that lead us to a good outcome. It is necessary to develop a patient and understanding spirit. This does not mean setting aside our ideas and pretensions but being willing to listen to what others have to say and not believing we hold the absolute truth.
How many times have we thought that certain actions can only be resolved in the way we think, and an unexpected voice gives us another perspective, another option that is beneficial for the goals we want to achieve? We must understand that the view of others does not compete with ours, but comes to enrich it, to give it more content and strength, even to show us that we too can be wrong.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
Achieving goals as a group is a fabulous blessing that the Lord grants us in His eternal grace. Living in harmony with our brothers and sisters is in accordance with what our Heavenly Father desires for our lives. By interacting and working together, we develop our wisdom to contribute constructively to the various projects that arise. We understand the profound sense of listening and learn to consider the opinions of others. In this way, relationships are strengthened, forging solid bonds among companions that lead to friendships that enhance our feelings of understanding, solidarity, and sincerity.
From faith, we decide to love life knowing that the Lord is in control of everything. In a world that promotes the culture of immediacy and the ephemeral, we must strive to fulfill His perfect word and not lose sight of that wonderful gift that God gives us every day called love. Let us continue on the path that will transform us into the people the Almighty has called us to be.
