Let us think for a moment what would happen if God returns to earth today. What would happen?
Would we recognize him?
"Let us care for each other, in order to stimulate ourselves to love and good works. Let's not stop congregating, as some do, but let's encourage each other, and with all the more reason now that we see that day is approaching. ” Philippians 4:19
Many times we have spoken about these modern times where technology and consumption try to dictate the values to be followed by our community. So it is not illogical to think that if God returned to earth today we would not recognize him. That is why we must be in permanent contact with our hearts and be alert to what God tells us through him.
Would he be proud?
"And now, dear children, let us abide in Him so that, when He manifests Himself, we can confidently present ourselves before Him, confident that we will not be ashamed at His coming." John 2:28
Personally I think there will be divided opinions here. There will be the demanding who see that we would disappoint God for those things in which we failed, and there will be others who will average an acceptable response. I think the key is to see everything with a positive attitude and with the possibility of always growing in God: let's not forget that it is never too late.
Will he still have faith in us?
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. Matthew 24:44
On this point, I believe that God will definitely never lose His Faith in us. It is not for nothing that he is perfect, and let us remember that in the most disinterested act he gave up his own son's life in order to save us from sin. So: Yes. God definitely still keeps His Faith intact in us as His children.
What message would he give us?
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
Personally I imagine God quite concise when it comes to sharing His wisdom since many times the message is distorted with an accumulation of words. Of course, I am very clear about what message God would transmit to us today: that of loving one another. Times may change and people may change too, but love will remain the same as well as his power.
