These two forces together can move mountains and help us regain our spiritual balance. In the following article we will learn how to incorporate daily verses to follow the path of the Heavenly Father.
"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24
In contrast to wood, a material that does not decide its own destiny, human beings are architects of our choices.
Wood does not choose the place where it grows, the water that nourishes it, or the intensity of the sun that illuminates it. It does not decide when to stop growing or how it will be used. Instead, we, with the Lord's grace, have the ability to shape our own destiny in the light of the Holy Spirit.
The story of our lives is woven with lessons and moments that God places in our path. We retain the gift of deciding who we will be, guided by the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Making sure we are as noble and hopeful as the "good wood" becomes a daily task that brings us closer to Heavenly Father's divine reward.
The "good wood" is that which, when used, does not lose its shape or yield to pressure. Analogously, our spirituality, the hope we carry in our lives, nourishes the love for the Holy Spirit.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Our closeness to the Lord and the strength we find in his Glory are the fundamental foundations for becoming beings of light. The question that arises is inevitable: of what wood are we made?
The destiny of our faith and self-love is not subject to chance; it depends on hard work and constant dedication to nurture our heart with God.
Although a dose of chance may favor our path, it is not the determining factor. Willpower and fortitude in the pursuit of our objectives are crucial. The Lord desires that we have the courage to do talented and honest work with our heart and soul. Success lies in how we approach obtaining what we long for.
It is crucial to reflect on how we work, pray and spend time connecting with Jesus. It is also essential to consider our interactions with people in our family and social environment. What imprint will we leave on those who share the same love for the Lord?
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Being of "good wood" is essential to feel secure in our decisions of faith. Good wood" remains true to its essence, with no hidden knots that make it brittle. It is strong and flexible at the same time.
Remember that your spirit should resemble this wood. Your hope and faith will illuminate the moments of uncertainty on your path. Dark thoughts, far from the Lord, can be dispelled by focusing on God's blessings.
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8
Prayer stands as the most reliable means to bring us closer to our Heavenly Father. Growing in spiritual health and strength takes time, but with Jesus as a traveling companion, it is a journey filled with meaning. Have you become "good wood"? If not, there is still time.
Continue your work together with the glory of the Holy Spirit. Become strong and reliable, following the example of Jesus. Reach out to your family, friends and be confident in your choices. Aspire to be the person you want to be, always with the Lord.
