"But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Luke 2:10

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year. This turns out to be a magical holiday, especially for children, as we gather as a family and celebrate our love and unity together with the Holy Spirit.

To be prepared when our son or daughter asks what is celebrated at Christmas, it is important to remember that this date is an opportunity to transmit values such as peace, forgiveness, understanding and love.

That is why it is convenient to celebrate together with loved ones, so that they feel part of the way of the Heavenly Father and his son Jesus, understanding deeply the meaning of this feast.

"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

If we want to tell the story of Jesus in a simple, story-like way, we can simplify some of what is told in the Bible.

In this way, we can teach our children that Jesus was a very good person and that he loved his loved ones, friends and family very much.

Another way to commemorate Christmas is to take our son to see the Christmas lights and decorations in the churches in our city.

We can also share with them the process of decorating our home and preparing the typical Christmas food, such as turkey or sweet bread. In this way, the little ones will be able to enjoy all the traditions and customs of Christmas.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

In addition, Christmas is a perfect opportunity to teach future generations the importance of giving to others and having solidarity present at this time and throughout the year.

We can donate to charities, buy gifts for those in need, or simply show kindness and generosity to those around us who need it most.

We should remember in this way the miracle of the Savior's birth and all the hope placed in him.

"The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." Luke 1:35

Christmas is a time of reflection and renewal of our values and our Faith together with the Holy Spirit.

By sharing these teachings with the beings that are just connecting in the path of the Lord, we are helping them to grow as people and to develop in a healthy and balanced way together with the Glory of the Heavenly Father.

In short, this holiday is an opportunity to connect with forgiveness, strengthening our family communion and giving the fundamental gift to those who have always cared for us and surrounded us in life.
