"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you!" Isaiah 60:1
In our journey with the Lord, we will have many different experiences and feelings. We will experience times of joy and sorrow, joy and stress. At times, in the midst of the most difficult trials, we may feel plunged into deep darkness, suffering from insecurity and fear.
It is in these convulsive times that the question arises:
What happened to the bright light in my life and in the lives of my loved ones? When we are overwhelmed by these disturbing thoughts, it is time to reflect and understand that God is the eternal Light that guides our path, and that the Light lives within us so that we can illuminate it, to illuminate the path of those around us.
Knowing that the Light of Christ lives in us, we understand that as children of God, we are called to remove the darkness from our lives and the lives of others. Our light should illuminate the lives of our families, friends and colleagues.
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5
The Word and Spirit with which Jehovah blesses us every day are available to others through the Light on which we feed. Therefore, every encounter or meeting with our brethren is an encounter with God.
This does not mean that we have all the answers, but that He lives in our hearts. We are blessed by the grace of the Almighty to be chosen instruments to show his presence among the men and women of the world.
It is very important to know the importance of keeping our Light alive even in the most difficult moments of our lives. This does not mean that we have to go through the whole process pretending or pushing ourselves beyond our limits in order to shine.
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14
When we choose to follow the good paths laid out by the Lord, we know that His Light will live in our hearts forever. Its brightness will vary depending on the situation, sometimes being bright and sometimes dim. However, we must not allow our worries and fears to make us hide our Light from the world. Even a small Light can make a big difference.
Like a light on a stormy sea or a lone star in the night, Our Light can guide those who feel lost. We do not know where the righteous Word God wants to give us will come from to lead us out of the darkness, and we do not know what power our light can bring into the life of our suffering brother or sister.
"Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always." 1 Chronicles 16:11
May the Light of the Lord illuminate our steps and guide us in every decision we make. Let us commit ourselves to His love and mercy, trusting that His purpose for our lives is wonderful and full of hope.
In times of darkness, let us be bearers of the light of Christ. May our lives reflect the divine presence in us, allowing God's grace and love to shine through our words and actions.
Let us remember that we are not alone on this journey. The community of believers accompanies us, and together we can encourage and support each other in our quest for spiritual fulfillment.
Each of us is called to receive the holy light so that it may be reflected in all our lives. Light gives us wisdom, it gives us the opportunity to distinguish between good and evil. On the other hand, in the darkness we see nothing and we deviate from the path traced out by the Lord. May our light always shine in the name of Christ!
