Questions that we asked ourselves

Questioning certain aspects that do not lead us down the Lord's path may be a waste of time and energy. Find out when it is beneficial to us and when it starts to be a problem.

“making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.H” Ephesians 4:3-6

Why me? The "why" is a very particular concept to understand. You are you in so much as you are unique and special. You are unique because there is no one else like you, with your defects and virtues, and you are special because you have been chosen by God for a specific purpose. But at the same time you are part of a whole that are God's children.

“in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children. And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God.” Galatians 4:5-7

Why does God not hear me? We are often overcome with doubt, product of our insecurity, that finally provokes immeasurable anxiety within us, which unfortunately leads us to say with certainty that God does not hear our prayers. When faced with these circumstances we must keep in mind that patience is a virtue that tempers the spirit, and when we least expect it, the answers will come.

“But Jesus answered them, 'My Father is still working, and I also am working.' For this reason the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because he was not only breaking the sabbath, but was also calling God his own Father, thereby making himself equal to God.” John 5:17-18

How can I achieve a stronger faith? It is very important to remember that we can count on prayer as our weapon along with all its power. But aside from being a weapon, we must also consider it an exclusive channel for communication with God, who speaks to us through our hearts. So that, with a more fluid communication and faith, we will be able to definitely strengthen our faith.

“And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as children— 'My child, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, or lose heart when you are punished by him; for the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, and chastises every child whom he accepts.' ” Hebrews 12:5-6
How much more do I need to withstand? The trials that the Lord places in our path, are seeds that (when carefully tended) will give fruit to the new virtues we acquire. Therefore that is when we must count on a good dose of patience and spiritual fortitude that is enough to keep us from buckling under our first difficult situation. Keeping this in mind, we will realize how much more prepared we are in our battles.

“And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.  For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” Luke 12:29-31
Am I worthy of God's love? Doubt often has a habit of gearing our hearts towards low self-esteem, which leads us to moments in which we believe we may not be worthy of God's love. It is in those moments that we must better remember that we have been chosen by God Himself, for the love He has for us and because He fully trusts in us.

“yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” 1 Corinthians 8:6
Am I on the right path? This may be the question that I hear myself ask most often, maybe you feel the same way. When doubt begins to grow, it is normal that we feel disoriented and we may not know which path to take. Therefore, let us remember that love is the right path and is exactly what Jesus would do.
