It fills us with energy from the first hour. Many people, upon waking up, perform a physical exercise routine.

Just as a multi-vitamin shake gives us the energy to keep our body moving with our daily activities, the word of the Lord gives us the spiritual energy that feeds our hearts and predisposes us in a way more in line with the Lord's way to face our day.

Pray every morning and reflect on a Bible passage to renew your spiritual energy.

"Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

It gives us a good dose of the healing power of love. Many times, when we feel that we are with a low percentage of energy within us, taking refuge in the power of prayer tightens our bond in the Lord and His magnificent healing power.

In that way we will feel his hand touching our heart and an unparalleled relief will run through our whole body. That is why we must incorporate the routine of prayer in our lives.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1

It allows us to have that time alone with God. Every relationship needs to be nourished by communication, which in turn is what allows us to develop the feeling of love.

If it is the Lord in whom we trust; if it is the Lord whom we love; if it is His counsel that we value most, then we might as well take the time to strengthen the relationship that binds us to Him in the refuge of prayer.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24

It allows us to make sure that we continue to walk in the way of the Lord. Overcoming the obstacles that appear on our way to the Lord often becomes difficult. That is why the victory in all the struggles we engage in, will be reflected in the confirmation that we are still on God's path.

As if the divine hand of the Almighty rests on our shoulders and we have the satisfaction that He tells us: You are doing things right.
