Rediscovering the Purpose of Solidarity

Life is a constant learning process, and one of the greatest gifts we can cultivate is solidarity. When we realize the importance of supporting one another, we not only grow closer to God, but we also enrich our existence and the existence of those around us.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”  Hebrews 10:24

In the pursuit of reaching our goals and drawing closer to the Holy Spirit, it is essential to visualize our objectives clearly. We must keep in mind what we want to achieve to chart a plan to follow. Solidarity strengthens when we commit to acting together, supporting each other on the path of faith.

Prayer is a powerful tool that helps us connect with God and listen to His voice in our hearts. Setting aside time in our day for prayer will strengthen our communication with God and receive His guidance in times of need. This way, we can better discern how we can be instruments of active help for others.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Once we have clarity about our goals, it is important to chart a plan to follow. This plan should include short-term goals that allow us to progress gradually toward our final objective. Remember that solidarity is not just a feeling but a continuous and deliberate action.

It is especially important to take care of our motivation in moments of vulnerability. The image of a germinating seed can be very useful for visualizing the growth process we are experiencing. Just as a seed needs special care during its early stages, we must also pay special attention to our first steps on the path to solidarity and active help.

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”  Hebrews 13:16

We must not lose sight of the fact that achieving goals brings a sense of happiness that is important to experience. This is why including short-term goals in our plan is an excellent way to stay motivated and gain the necessary momentum to keep moving forward.

In moments of doubt, it is important to listen to our hearts and not let our minds deceive or distance us from what we truly want. Remember that our hearts are connected to our desires and feelings, and it is through them that we can connect with God. Solidarity is nourished by this deep and genuine connection with the Lord.

“No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.” 1 Corinthians 10:24

Given that God has a plan for each of us, it is important to trust that He will watch over us and not let bad things happen to us. In difficult times, it is important to remember that every obstacle we face is a test that God places before us to work on our weaknesses and strengthen our virtues.

Finally, remember that Jesus is our role model and that in moments of doubt, we can ask ourselves what He would do in our place. By following these keys and trusting in God, we can move forward on our path to the Holy Spirit without letting frustration or excessive desire cloud our quest. Solidarity and active help thus become our guides on this spiritual journey, reflecting Christ's love and grace in our lives.
