Red Alert: 4 symptoms that the lack of Faith is moving you away from God.

Insecurity

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Many times we begin to experience sensations that are not what we are commonly accustomed to feeling. At the beginning, these feelings do not cause us any inconvenience and at the same time we learn to live with them. Unfortunately, what we achieve by not eradicating them instantly is to create the perfect conditions for them to grow without realizing it. Such is the case of insecurity, a feeling that will quickly lead us to the lack of Faith.

Depression

“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6

It is normal, then, that the fact that our spiritual peace has been corrupted creates a depression that does not allow us to see any way out of this problem. In such cases, depression becomes an evil that grows by leaps and bounds, something like the effect of quicksand, in which the more you fight, the more you sink.

Isolation

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

The sum of the factors that lead us to move away from the path of God and therefore to the lack of Faith, also makes us begin to move away from everything that does us good, and a clear example is our circle of friendships and family. Let us keep in mind that this is also part of the construction of the ideal environment from which it is difficult for us to leave without help. That is why it is important to remember that isolation is the clearest signal that is presented to us when identifying our departure from God's way.

Apathy

“You love him despite not having seen him; and although they do not see it now, they believe in Him and rejoice with indescribable and glorious joy, for they are obtaining the goal of His Faith, which is their salvation.” Peter 1:8-9

Finally, or rather, without any particular order of importance, another clearly visible sign is apathy, whose dictionary definition is: Lack of motivation or enthusiasm. Although we have already said that this is a clearly visible sign, we must remember the famous saying that "there is no worse blind than he who does not want to see." This tells us that apathy is also a product of the sum of depression and isolation, and that is why in such circumstances we will not find anything that motivates us, not even those things we knew that gave us happiness. So it is our duty as children of God to pay attention to this explosive cocktail that will try to keep us from the path of Christ.
