Surely doubts, fears, and questions appear in your daily thoughts. We must not fall into simplifications or fears that accompany the following questioning: Is God sending us a test?
Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50
During the history of mankind, there have been many cases of diseases and pandemics. Many of them deadly, but in all of them, there was always a common factor. Faith and Hope. These are the challenges in which our Savior clarifies the way to the Holy Spirit. In prayer, with the necessary peace and entrusting our hope to the Heavenly Father, we are able to get through. The miracles that our Lord conducts appear and we must never doubt Him.
“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” Ephesians 3:16-17
We come upon the best time to reconnect with the Lord. At home, living with family, or in solitude, silence is a unique way to pray and listen clearly to the message of the Heavenly Father. Strengthening our hearts, healing wounds and resentments, freeing ourselves from the sins that torment us and without losing our focus: Jesus loves us and we can always count on Him.
“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.” Exodus 23:25
It is important to remain calm and help those who require a deeper approach to the Faith. Remembering that in communion or using the available tools (social networks, telecommunications), it will be right and necessary to be able to give words of encouragement and hope to our loved ones. By approaching them with words, accompanying them with the love that Jesus gives us, we will be able to organize prayer chains that will heal the wounds that arise in this time of global crisis that affects us all equally.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
In times of quarantine, seclusion, and social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, we must remember all the sacrifices that Jesus our Savior made on the Cross at the time of his death and resurrection. It was his teaching that gives us the faith and hope necessary to continue on the path of the Holy Spirit. We must always keep in mind that the love and goodness of our Heavenly Father will lead us to a safe harbor and will always deposit us in a new awakening.
