Planning Objectives: A New Year Is Coming

As this time of the year approaches, we begin to think about what we have left pending in our lives and what we would like to materialize in the new year. In the following article you will find fundamental pillars to prioritize with the Lord.

"May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed." Psalm 20:4

The Way of the Lord is unique

If you feel that during this year your path was deviated, concentration in these cases is extremely important.

Be responsible without being hard on yourself, you don't want to be demoralized and be your own executioner. It is surprising how sometimes our mind deceives us and takes us away from everything we want.

Instead, make the exercise of listening to your heart: nothing more connected to our own desires and feelings and, what is more, nothing better connected to the Lord.

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." Proverbs 16:9

Do not lose hope.

Keep in mind that beyond the plan you have laid out, there is a greater plan, and that is the plan that God has for us. Be confident that God, like a good father, will always watch over us and will not let bad things happen to us.

Remember that everything that represents a stone in our path are tests that the Lord puts us to work on our weaknesses and strengthen our virtues. In moments of doubt, a good exercise is to ask yourself: What would Jesus do in my place?

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

There is always a plan

As Noah did with his ark to save life, remember the importance of planning the steps to follow, starting from scratch, being very careful not to get discouraged at the beginning, surely the most vulnerable moments of your plan.

Keep in mind the image of a germinating seed, to which you must give special care during the first stages, until it becomes stronger.

"Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it" Luke 14:28

Be realistic about what you can accomplish

Don't forget that achieving goals brings us a certain sense of happiness that is good to experience.

That way we will get more drive and initiative as we embark on our race to the next goal, and so the road will be more bearable. Ideally, put the easiest goals at the beginning of your journey, that will give you the confidence you need to tackle the more difficult goals.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." Proverbs 16:3

Make your goals visible. It is vitally important that you are clear about what you want, what you want to achieve. That way it will be much easier for you to draw a plan to follow along your path.

Make time to pray, and in this way make your communication with God more fluid, in order to find God's counsel for you, through what your heart dictates.
