Love is a universal feeling that we all want to experience at some point in our lives. Learn in the following article how to open your heart for the rest of your days.
"Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." Ephesians 5:22-24
Sometimes we get lost along the way, we find it hard to trust someone else, we find it hard to open our hearts and give ourselves completely. However, in order to feel love in its fullness it is important to explore and understand the keys to conquer the heart.
The first key is to understand that we cannot walk alone in life. We need someone to accompany us along the way, someone to provide us with an emotional support network in difficult moments and to support us in our personal goals. That is why we must look for someone we can trust and with whom we can share our love.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken!" Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
The second key is empathy. We must be able to put ourselves in the other person's shoes, understand their outlook and perspective in order to communicate effectively and respectfully. This will allow us to strengthen our emotional bonds and cultivate mutual love.
The third key is to work as a team. While it is important to have individual goals, it is also essential to support and sustain the other person in key moments of personal growth. This will allow us to cultivate the trust necessary to be able to share our love fully.
"May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer— may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her loves." Proverbs 5:18-19
The fourth key is to know how to receive love. Many times we close ourselves off to love for fear of suffering or vulnerability. But in order to experience love in all its fullness, we must be willing to open our hearts and give ourselves completely.
The fifth and final key is to be patient. Finding someone special may take time, but we must not despair. We must trust that Heavenly Father's plan will lead us to the right person at the right time.
"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." 2 Peter 1:5-7
By following these keys, we will be able to conquer the heart of that special person and experience love in all its fullness. Like Jesus, who gave his life for love, we must be willing to give ourselves completely and cultivate love in all areas of our lives.
Do not despair or go into an emotional pit because you do not achieve this feeling with other people or your partners. Many times we confuse the type of love we long to achieve.
We will always have near us the unconditional love of the Heavenly Father that will make us overcome any adversity, but always remember that if we do not have our hearts healthy and repaired, we will never be able to provide the necessary love to create a lasting and special relationship with whom we long for.
