“Now, there is a diversity of gifts, but the Spirit is the same. And there is diversity of ministries, but the Lord is the same. And there is a diversity of operations, but it is God himself who does all things in all. ”Corinthians 12:4-6
Identify them. Many times, the problems we face and the whirlwind of the "right now" that society imposes on us, let us see the gifts with which God blesses us. Identifying them is the first task.
“But having gifts that differ, according to the grace that has been given to us, let us use them: if the one of prophecy, use in proportion to the Faith; if the service, in serving; or he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in the exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who directs diligently; he who shows mercy, with joy.” Romans 12:6-8
Study them. Once identified, perhaps looking for references about them in the Bible and seeing what the scriptures say about it is a good start to know our abilities and how to exercise the gifts God has given us.
“As each one has received a special gift, use it by serving each other as good stewards of the multiform grace of God. He who speaks may speak according to the words of God; He who serves, let him do it by the strength that God gives, so that in all He may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom the glory and dominion belong for ever and ever. Amen.” 4:10-11
Put them into practice. Basically that will give you a general idea about how much you need to exercise that gift and the path you have already traveled, something completely necessary to not discourage us in the process. In the meantime you will help others, at the same time. By doing this, you will be testing yourself.
"And He gave some to be apostles, to other prophets, to other evangelists, to other pastors and teachers," Ephesians 4:11
Take them to the limit. Because it is always good to demand a little more, see how far we are able to go, and that way we will make Christ proud of us. On the other hand, we will experience the peace of mind of knowing that we have given everything for that cause.
"God testifying together with them, both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit according to his own will." Hebrews 2:4
Share them. In the final stage, it is our duty to share what we have learned with those who need it. As Christ teaches us, this is also a way to show our love to others. Remember that it is useless to do the things that the Lord tells us if we will finally keep the teachings for ourselves.
