We have the capacity to heal and improve our spirituality. Learn from these examples listed in the following article.
"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21
In the countless days of life, we may be surprised on an ordinary day, taking care of a little boy or girl, and in that instant, a moment of attention arises, a crucial moment in which it is up to us to set an example and transmit an idea.
At that precise moment, simplicity and firmness become our allies, and it is in this space that life gives us where we can share life experiences and the faith that the Holy Spirit insufflates in us.
Children are in a stage of discovery and learning, where their curious minds and open hearts seek to understand the world around them. At times, they seem to seek limits and challenges as they seek to grow and develop.
These challenging scenarios provide us with valuable opportunities to instill examples of faith in their hearts, whether through life stories or readings of biblical passages. It is in these situations that we approach them in a teaching context, sharing the Word of the Lord in an accessible and understandable way.
"Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment." James 2:12-13
The importance of backing up our words with actions is a fundamental pillar in the education of the little ones. It is not enough to utter empty words; we must live our faith authentically so that they can internalize and replicate those values in their own lives. Instead of merely talking about love, compassion and righteousness, we must embody those values and allow our actions to speak for themselves.
Christ's wisdom was manifested through his actions rather than his words. His teachings were not only embodied in speeches, but lived out in his every act.
In his encounters with the marginalized, in his unconditional love for all, in his sacrifice on the cross, Jesus embodied the truth he preached. Following his example, as women of faith, we have the opportunity to educate through our daily actions.
"Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons." John 2:6
This is how example becomes a powerful teaching channel. Children, in their imitation phase, absorb and reflect what they see around them. If we cultivate an environment where our actions reflect compassion, honesty and love, they will learn through our behavior.
Through humility and empathy, we will build bridges that connect their hearts to divine truth.
In this teaching journey, we have an invaluable tool at our fingertips: the Word of God. The Bible is not simply a book, but a key that opens the doors to the treasure God has bequeathed to us: His eternal love and wisdom. On every page, we find living examples of faith, struggle and love.
Sharing these stories with young people can awaken their interest and open essential dialogues on values and spirituality.
"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." 2 Peter 1:5-7
On this journey, let us remember that we do not need grandiloquent speeches to convey the message of Christ. Often, the most powerful words are those that are expressed through our daily actions and attitudes.
Silence accompanied by genuine action can speak louder than any speech. When we help the needy, when we forgive, when we show compassion, we are sowing seeds of faith that will germinate in the hearts of those around us.
So, as women of faith, let us assume with responsibility the role of educators and examples of life. Let us not underestimate the importance of our actions in the spiritual formation of future generations. Let us remember that the example we set today can impact the lives of tomorrow.
Let us live our faith with authenticity, allowing God's love and truth to shine through every gesture and word. Let us teach with humility and love, guided by the Holy Spirit, and build a legacy of faith that will endure for generations.
