We go through moments of success, of failure, of losses and gains, we reap victories and we reap defeats; but above all, one thing is certain: everything that will happen under heaven has its time.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
First of all, we must realize that everything happens for a reason, and that reason is the plan that God has designed specifically for each one of us. It is The Lord's desire is for us to understand that there is a plan for our lives that he has designed and that may not have the results we expect on many occasions. There we must remember that the journey will never be easy but the destination will be worth it.
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalms 62:5-8
It is very important the way in which we accept the different things that happen to us in life: Do not get depressed if you find yourself in a moment where things do not go as expected, keep in mind that this will not last forever, since God gives us second chances and, speaking of second chances, maybe this is a good time to learn from the bad things that happen to us so we can avoid them when they appear again in our path.
Do not boast if you find yourself in a good moment, just thank The Lord for the moments of relief and use them to strengthen and temper your spirit, which will come in handy in times of drought.
With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.” When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.” Genesis 19:15-16
Arm yourself today with patience and trust in God. Do not forget that both positive and negative events that occur in our lives are instruments of the Lord to become the person He calls us to be.
Life is an ever-changing story and in the face of it, the only thing that will remain is God's love and mercy, His peace that guards our spirit, and His compassion that provides us with the security of knowing that He will always reign in our hearts.
