"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken!" Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Love is one of the most powerful emotions we experience as human beings. However, sometimes we get lost in our own doubts and fears and forget how important it is to feel and express that love. That is why it is essential to open our heart and trust another person, as this allows us to exercise patience, active listening and self-love.
When we find someone with whom we can connect in a special way, we must cultivate that love day by day, incorporating values that nurture our path to the enlightenment of the soul. If we feel that this person is the right one, he or she will reciprocate every step of the way and together we can build a network of emotional support to help us through the most difficult moments.
"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." 2 Peter 1:5-7
Working as a team will allow us to feel more gratified, but it is important to remember that there are also rules of coexistence that we must follow to support the other person in his or her most difficult moments. Supporting and sustaining them in the fulfillment of their dreams and personal goals is fundamental to build the trust necessary to share a love that will multiply in the future.
Just as Jesus' sacrifice on the cross taught us the love he had for his family, we must also learn to receive love from others. Sometimes we have hearts hardened by the fear of suffering, but it is important to have the decision and the power of attraction necessary to feel free and with the mutual love of others.
"Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything." Ephesians 5:22-24
