"I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." 1 Corinthians 1:10
In life's journey, we often find ourselves faced with situations that we perceive as more complex than they really are when we experience them. Fears, those faithful companions of our existence, sometimes far outweigh reality, and our own fantasies make us feel weaker than we really are.
It is like that dream deferred, a longing we have been slow to address because we imagine it as an odyssey, a protracted and arduous quest. However, as we entrust our fears to the Holy Spirit, we discover that what we considered an obstacle was nothing more than an illusion. In many cases, all we need is faith, courage and to take the first step towards what we dream of in order to feel fulfilled.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
In seeking a deeper connection with the Lord and the Holy Spirit, it is critical to break free from the mistaken belief that a happier future is beyond our reach. This perception traps us in a vicious cycle of dissatisfaction. Nothing builds itself, and nothing is achieved without trusting in our capacity to change, following the path that our Heavenly Father presents to us as a life apprenticeship.
The first step towards building a stronger relationship with God involves daring to dream and believing that change is possible. Having a clear objective, knowing what we want and how we want to live with Jesus are essential steps. No one can do it for us. The construction of this new chapter in our life, full of self-confidence, may involve failures and disappointments, but we will never lose faith or lose our way towards God's glory.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
The faith we place in the Heavenly Father must be reflected in us, in our projects, desires and dreams. This translates into hard work, constancy in our prayers, endurance in the face of difficulties and, above all, in being grateful for all the opportunities that come our way to heal and to feel fully accompanied by the Holy Spirit.
No one knows more clearly than the Lord those aspects that you have neglected and that need your attention. The daily exercise of gratitude through prayer, surrounding yourself with your loved ones to help them and listen to them, are practices that will not only allow you to grow but also to connect with what is truly restorative for your heart. On this path, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are beacons of hope, guiding us to wholeness and inner peace.
"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18
There is no more time to wait on this spiritual journey. If you have not yet made the decision to connect with faith and your spirituality, this is the right time. Procrastination is not justified and will keep you from your goal of healing.
Remember, the faith deposited in the Heavenly Father must be reflected in us, in our projects, desires and dreams. This translates into hard work, constancy in our prayers, endurance in the face of difficulties and, above all, in being grateful for every opportunity that comes our way to heal and to feel fully accompanied by the Holy Spirit.
