An Example for Every Moment of Life

Simple moments in life that illuminate ideas, thoughts, decisions and even a way of feeling the path of light. Learn more about the value of everyday learning in the following article.

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love." Galatians 5:13

If we stop going to church, or stop praying there will come no retaliation or rebuke from anyone. It is within ourselves that we will expose ourselves to feel an existential void and where we will begin to experience the departure from the Faith. We will be running away from the Holy Spirit and probably our excuses will be "I don't have enough time" "I will never be heard by God".

"Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith" - 2 Corinthians 13:5

When reading the Holy Scriptures, many times we feel that we are challenged, either from a positive place because we have clarity and tranquility about our decisions and actions. It can also be that we are challenged from a clear sense of discomfort.

The Word of our Father enlightens us in the Bible with stories and accounts that can be repeated in our daily lives (despite the centuries of its writing and the characters that appear in them). This is why we should not stop reading them, since at some point they will make sense or we will simply be identified by some statement made from a verse.

“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."  Jeremiah 17:10

What would happen if one day our children, nephews, nieces or grandchildren ask us about some fact that occurs in the Sacred Writings? If from their place, the little ones manage to question some fact, that from their naivety, they could perceive as far from the Faith. We will be able to explain it to them and they will understand from a theoretical aspect what we tell them, but if we have to be able to evaluate ourselves and give an answer from our own facts, will we be able to recognize our faults and mistakes to really understand the question that God asked us?

"Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise." - Proverbs 19:20

No matter what Bible passage it is, no matter what kind of arrival it has in our hearts, can we as Christians back up with tangible actions the Faith we are self-convinced to profess? It is of no use if we repeat in prayer a dialogue with God that is disconnected from reality itself. Why offer sacrifices to the Holy Spirit, if our actions are non-existent, turning us into puppets or simple impostors.

"so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them." - 1 Thessalonians 3:3

God will not punish anyone for forgetting his essence as a Christian. Nor does He seek revenge, much less judge why one ceases to connect with the Faith. Our Father loves us equally, for all of us, and for this reason we are unique and unrepeatable beings.

Besides, He has a clear destiny that will allow us to fulfill ourselves on the path of Faith. Regardless of the deviations or disconnections, our identity with God will be reaffirmed since we will be receiving the divine signs of Our Father. The only ones who will be able to identify or determine if we are in the darkness or darkness as a consequence of the distancing from the Faith, will be our conscience. It will be our own actions that will judge the final destiny of eternal life that awaits us at the gates of Heaven.
