Repairing what we feel is a very special task. Expand the way of looking at life with the following verses.
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7
In a world drowning in the deluge of hyper-consumerism with its illusory promises of well-being, and overwhelmed by the constant flood of information, the ongoing quarantine adds another layer of complexity. Economic problems and social challenges loom like storm clouds on the horizon.
In these uncertain times, confidence, that natural shield protecting life, wavers. Many brothers and sisters face the possibility of losing the grace of God.
The loss of self-confidence, and consequently, trust in our Heavenly Father, is a colossal challenge. However, in times like these, the response is clear: act promptly and seek God in a genuine, authentic manner. Prayer, infused with positivity, will guide us to the Word of God, which acts as a healing balm, leading us back to the path of light that God has prepared for us with His infinite love.
"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope." Psalm 130:5
Inaction in these challenging times is a danger we must avoid. Passivity drags us into depression and isolation, increasing the temptation to seek refuge in excess.
It is crucial to remember that without efforts, we cannot change the adverse circumstances we face. Inactivity begets confusion and sometimes leads to arrogance and pride. Our Creator designed us to work with purpose, to achieve our goals through effort imbued with genuine and pure love.
To make this happen, it is imperative to place complete trust in God's eternal grace and perfect Word.
"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture." Psalm 37:3
Cultivating a spirit of gratitude is a vital component of our journey of faith. When we approach God, we recognize that He has always been by our side, listening to us even amid our doubts, resentments, and anger. God has blessed us with life, a life composed of both good moments and trials.
The Almighty uses these trials to strengthen our faith and commitment to Him. When we respond to God's call and take actions based on His teachings, we begin to see reality more clearly.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Celebrating our journey with our Heavenly Father involves renewing the meaning of our desires and goals. Hope is not an illusory and unattainable concept. Instead, the Word of God instructs us to view hope from a different perspective. In this sense, we can affirm that hope is synonymous with a secure expectation in the grace of the Lord.
Our hope fades when we lose contact with God. In contrast, our expectations flourish when, at the end of the day, we trust that He has a plan and a purpose for our lives.
