A different look: 5 things the Bible says about death.

Some passages that illustrate us about the conception that the Holy Scriptures have about death.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26

It is not the end but the beginning. Many times we have wondered what is after death and, although we know that the journey does not end there, the Bible tells us that death is the beginning of a new life with Christ; a life different from the one we lead here on earth, different from everything we knew so far.

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8

It is cause for celebration. How many times have we heard the expression "went to a better life"? Of course, beyond any joke or ironic comment there is also a great truth since, remember that once we are no longer here, we will finally meet face to face with God, and that is only a reason for celebration.

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Song of Songs 8:6

It is a reunion. At the same time, once our soul leaves the body that until the moment of our death we had inhabited, we will be part of another reunion that will also be a reason for celebration without a doubt: Our reunion with loved ones who left the earth a while ago. Remembering all the points seen so far will give us a clearer picture of what God looks at death.

"This message is worthy of credit: If we die with Him, we will also live with Him." Timothy 2:11

It is that place where we are all equal. Personally, the phrase "start from scratch" revolves in my head. The passage through death means entering through the gates of heaven and becoming one more, where there will be no difference between us and that in that way there is an unbreakable harmony and peace there.

I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Philippians 1:23-24

We will enjoy the benefits of having reached our final abode. It is also important to remember all the promises God made to us while we were traveling His path. All those things that he promised us in life will be finally realized and our wait will have come to an e nd
