Daily Habits to Remain Close to the Love

They say practice makes perfect. And even though we have the best teacher, it is our duty to be close to Him. Let's meditate in prayer to find that moment of peace in which the silence covers everything.

“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Take refuge in prayer. Meditate in prayer to find that moment of peace in which silence covers everything, in which the only sound is our heartbeat.

Therefore we will feel what God wants to tell us through our spirit. This is about isolating yourself and requires constant practice.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2

Talk to Christ.

Even though He speaks to us through our hearts during prayer, we also have other reasons for doing it. We usually turn to Christ when we need His Holy Intercession, but we must not forget to give thanks for everything we have been blessed with.

Tell Christ how much you need Him but also how much you love Him; say "please" but also "thank you".

“You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”” Psalms 91:1-2

Read the Holy Bible.

According to many people, this habit can be the easiest or most difficult of all. And its ambiguity lies in maintaining the habit for a long time. Many people begin to read passages in the Bible periodically, but then lose interest.

Just remember that they are the lessons of our Holy Teacher. An example for us to follow.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

Do a good deed daily.

Set it as a goal for you to follow for a month, you don't want to set impossible goals either. That way you will have an assured success, and you will be able to notice whenever you begin to experience spontaneous happiness, a product of seeing the joy in the faces of those you have helped. It is a highly contagious happiness.

“Do not envy the violent and do not choose any of their ways; for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.” Proverbs 3:31-32

Talk to someone about Christ.

Under the premise of "letting the whole world know", is another one of our missions as children of Christ, to take His word to the whole world, that all may learn of His eternal love, His incredible feats, and that He will come again to save us and give us eternal life in paradise with God the Father.
