Predisposition, openness, empathy, willingness to feel happy. All this is what you need and should have in your heart to receive the teachings of the Lord.
Reading the Bible and the Holy Scriptures can give us a very enriching look at the works of our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus.
It will depend a lot if it is the first time you try to read it, or if you had relegated your daily dedication to this healing practice.
If this is your first steps in the deepening of the Holy Spirit, we recommend doing a little research beforehand on the books and stories that make up the Bible will help you to better understand its structure and meanings.
Perhaps look for some specific passages that you wish to read. If in fact what happened was that you are reading again after a long time, try to reread those passages that marked you, that you remember with greater emphasis. It will bring you back into the rhythm necessary to entrust yourself to the word of God.
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." Psalm 51:1-2
If when you begin reading, you find it necessary to look up the interpretation of a specific passage, in various sources to contrast its meaning with what we were able to interpret, do not hesitate. The deeper your bond with the Faith, the more nourishment your heart will receive from God.
Remember that many times we can be in a good or bad day, words and phrases can come to us in an unexpected way. But it is always interesting to be able to read other visions or views on the same text to enrich the wisdom of the Faith and to be surprised to learn about the Father.
"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Ephesians 6:11
If you find stories, learnings or verses that really move you and fill your soul, you should bookmark them directly in your Bible. Finding them again easily and keeping them present in your daily life will help you reconnect with the Holy Spirit quickly and keep you on the path of faith.
We also recommend that you write them down and place these phrases or specific passages in visible places in your home, so that you can see them whenever you pass through that space. Take some of them as wallpaper for your cell phone or computer, or print them on a piece of paper in your wallet.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
When one finds himself in a complicated situation or a problem that keeps you in a threshold of shadows, we may turn to the inspiration of certain specific themes found in the Bible.
Searching for the theme or the author of the book that narrated a similar situation and then turning to that passage will build a bridge between the divine illumination of Jesus and all that God the Father taught each son and daughter.
We can also do some previous research on the subject, read interpretations and refloat that letter or reading expressed to inspire and enlighten us towards an adequate solution. So that it may lead us to a hopeful way out full of illusion and love.
"No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord." Isaiah 54:17
Reading aloud helps to personify the narratives, passages and experiences described in the holy narratives. A lively interpretation of the dialogues and situations (as when we narrate a story to our children), has a profound impact on all the senses of our being.
It is also recommended to do group readings and then discuss the verses treated, since in the diversity of interpretations, tones of voice, enthusiasm and lived experiences, we will be enriched with the word of God.
Like any discipline that requires constant training and dedication.
Performing daily readings will reconnect you with your heart and spiritual being. It is very wise to take the time to reflect on the theme of the day's reading. Think about how the theme developed applies to our lives today and what we could do to align ourselves with its approach.
