Ideas for Keeping a Positive Attitude

Confinement can generate some issues that we were not aware of. We must be alert to be able to turn to the path of enlightenment to move forward with this new reality.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

The increase in the number of people infected by the coronavirus worldwide causes unease. The most effective social tool, to date, to contain the virus is isolation. However, the indiscriminate proliferation of news can contribute to a non-stop transition from a logical state of concern to fear.

When fear takes over our hearts, the consequences are otherwise negative since fear clouds reason paralyzes the senses and causes mistrust among people. It is not a matter of denying the fact that we may be scared, but of exercising control over the panic that the situation we are experiencing may generate. So it is very important to be receptive to what the Lord has to say to us in this instance. Through the Power of Prayer, we will recover that courage that will allow us to face this challenge.

Courage does not mean the absence of fear, it means facing it from our unwavering Faith in Jesus.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

When we live in a state of permanent alarm, we must know that not only the path that our Heavenly Father has prepared for us darkens, but, like a deadly virus, we infect the loved ones around us. Probably the most affected by this situation are children. By reflecting and reading the Holy Scriptures we can cultivate Wisdom to effectively care for the little ones at home. That is why it is essential to approach them, to guide them in this difficult moment, show them how much we love them and take care of their soul of dark thoughts.

Let us promote fluid and constructive dialogue. We will be amazed at what the Lord has to say to us from his purity. Because our word will make them understand that we must fear nothing when we are together with the Lord and his words will bring relief and freshness to our hearts.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Another aspect to consider, of transcendental importance, is to keep an active and awake Spirit. It is well known that fear feeds on inaction. When the Lord calls us to overcome our fears, we must trust that each step we take means weakening our anxieties.

Let us use our fears as motivation and inspiration to grow in God our Father, promoting changes that will lead us to new and better levels of understanding. The worst thing we can do, then, is to be paralyzed. Let's talk as a family about the Blessings that the Most High pours on our lives every day and always remember the words of David when he said: Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Sustained in our Faith, this opportunity is very interesting to contact our brothers wherever they are. We can organize prayer chains and transmit to our loved ones that together with God we have nothing to fear. The more we learn to trust Christ, the more courage He will give you to act. Let us remember that as members of the People of the Lord each step we take with Him will make us understand that we are alive. Let the Light of God shine on us until salvation.
